 Happy New year to All!
The big story today is the strict smoking ban comes into force in Spains bars and cafes. Bar owners are saying that it will hit their business very hard, well it probably will, look what it did in the UK.
There is one main thing that will keep the smokers money coming in, the terraces and the hot weather!
You will be allowed to smoke outside in the terrace and seeing that for 80% of the year it is much more pleasant to sit outside, not a lot will change..............

The temp has dropped now to about 25deg so more time sat in front of the TV.
ITV weather woman Sean Lloyd, what language does she speak?
One of her favourites, " Much of a muchness" and now the other night she came out with: "No great shakes" What is she on? (I dont really want to know.......)
And now the adverts............
The only thing worth advertising on TV seems to be Furniture and Beds! Every other ad is telling us how much discount there is on sofas and beds. Are people buying these things? Settees made out of boxwood, chipboard and held together with staples, draped with some fancy material for 500 quid ( 600€ )! Must be loads of profit in them to be able to pay for the ads that are continually bombarding our screens!
Moving on to beds, 750 pounds? Sorry, I will have to sleep on that. ( My own bed that is, 50 quid type)
Have Daz run out of money? Episode 32 has been pumped out it seems for months now. I will need a new remote soon as the mute button is wearing out!
Final note.......
"I hardly ever buy Fairy Liquid" (The wife does the shopping!)

FIRE FIRE FIRE!
Our roving reporters, Nikki & Mel, were aboard the ferry going from Benalmadena to Fuengirola when it suddenly caught fire below deck!
Utter confusion broke out as the crew did not seem to know what to do which caused the passengers to panic.
A second boat came up and transferred everybody to take them back to Benalmadena.
If you are planning going on this trip, then make sure you are near or know where the lifejackets are!

HOT HOT HOT!!! 
It's the end of the summer but the teperature is rising! 90 deg in the shade.
Tips for keeping cool:
Dont wear any clothes.
Stand near open fridge.
Get wife/friend to fan you.
Stay in the pool with an iced drink.
Go to a cheap bar with a/c.
Get a cheap flight to Glasgow.
Seriously though, it is hard to keep cool especially at night as the temp does not drop much. A fan on slow speed blowing on you in bed wont cost a lot and it does let you get some uninterupted sleep!
